Furniture in 2025

In the two months since Fall Market ‘24 at High Point Market, there has been a surge of new trends in furnishings and lighting set to really take hold in 2025. Many of these trends are a continuation of longer-standing movements in the interior design industry, such as the focus on wellness, personality, and biophilia.

So without further ado, here are my favorite furniture trends for 2025:

Cordless Lamps

The idea of a cordless, rechargeable lamp has been around for a few years, but it’s now moving from a novelty decor piece to a fully-realized option for lighting.

We’re now seeing a variety of styles and sizes. Some models are designed so the fixture itself recharges, and others are designed where just the bulb needs to be plugged in.

Bleached Wood

Trends are lighter and brighter in 2025, and the rise of bleached wood is one of my favorite aspects of this. Bleached wood adds a sense of airiness and serenity to any space, making it the perfect choice for creating a light-filled oasis in the heart of the city, where many of my clients call home.

Blanco Coffee Table from Four Hands

Curved Upholstery

Trending for some time now, curved furniture is here to stay in 2025. There is a feeling of comfort and ease that exudes from curved furniture, so I’m very excited about this trend when it comes to communal spaces. Scalloped motifs are also seeing a resurgence, both in fabrics and in furniture design.

Natural Stone

Statement stone outside of the kitchen and bathroom is forecasted to be a huge trend this year. Think large furniture pieces, murals, and collections of stone accessories throughout the home. Natural stone provides a luxury feel to everyday items while providing long-lasting durability for years to come. A great material for heirloom pieces!

Augustine Console from Arteriors

These trends are just a snapshot of what is to come for interiors in 2025. I’m very excited to see more comfortable, playful, and sustainable furniture in the coming year.
